Project Millstone is working to establish safe transitional housing for women and children escaping abusive situations. Our goal is to provide temporary housing where families can stabilize, access community resources, develop safety plans, and begin building independent futures.
Education is one of the strongest tools for prevention. We provide educational materials, presentations, and community outreach that teach parents, children, educators, churches, businesses, and community members how to recognize warning signs, prevent exploitation, and respond appropriately.
We believe the greatest victory is preventing abuse before it happens. Through awareness campaigns, education, and early intervention, we strive to stop exploitation before another child becomes a victim.
Project Millstone supports stronger laws that protect children, hold offenders accountable, and improve support for victims and survivors. We work with community leaders and policymakers to advocate for legislation that prioritizes child safety.
The Red Flag Project is a legislative initiative proposed by Project Millstone that advocates for requiring registered sex offenders to display a permanent red marker on their residence. The goal is to increase public awareness and provide families with additional information to help them make informed decisions about neighborhood safety. We support this initiative through research, education, advocacy, and community discussion.
Many victims suffer in silence because people do not recognize the signs or know where to turn for help. Through billboards, digital media, social media, public events, and educational campaigns, we work to raise awareness and connect individuals with life-saving resources.
Finding trustworthy help can be overwhelming during a crisis. We are building a network of reliable local, state, and national resources so victims, survivors, and families can quickly find the support they need.
We believe protecting children requires collaboration. We work to build relationships with law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, social service agencies, healthcare professionals, educators, churches, businesses, and community organizations to strengthen prevention and response efforts.
Project Millstone participates in community events, educational workshops, school programs, business partnerships, and public speaking engagements to promote child safety and encourage community involvement.
Parents and caregivers are a child's first line of defense. We provide information and educational resources that help families recognize grooming behaviors, online dangers, warning signs of abuse, and ways to keep children safe.
Every survivor deserves to know they are not alone. We strive to replace fear with hope by connecting individuals with resources, encouraging healing, and building communities where every child and every survivor is valued and protected.
