Our Mission

Our organization was founded with a deep commitment to protect children, support survivors, and bring awareness to the growing crisis of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation. We believe every child deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to live a healthy and hopeful life.

As parents and advocates, we saw the gaps that exist in our communities limited resources for victims, barriers to reporting abuse, and a justice system that often does not go far enough to hold offenders accountable. Out of that concern and determination, we came together to create a nonprofit dedicated to education, prevention, and survivor support.

Our mission is to educate communities, provide resources for victims, and be a strong voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. We work to connect survivors and at-risk individuals with critical services including safe housing resources, confidential help lines, reporting assistance, therapy support, and life-skills programs designed to help individuals rebuild and move toward a healthy, independent future.

In addition to direct support and education, we are committed to advocacy. Our organization works with lawmakers and justice leaders to push for stronger legislation and harsher penalties for those who commit crimes against children. By speaking with senators, state representatives, and community leaders, we aim to strengthen protections and ensure that victims are heard.

Our leadership team is made up of individuals who care deeply about protecting children and strengthening our communities:
• Warren Wasson — President
• Felicia Wasson — Vice President
• Jeanne Buza — Treasurer

Together, we are working to raise awareness, expand resources, and bring meaningful change to the systems meant to protect our most vulnerable.

We stand for protection, healing, justice, hope and we will continue to fight to be a voice for the voiceless.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.— Matthew 18:6

Meet the Founders

Sailboat On Calm Lake

Warren is the founder of Project Millstone, driven by a deeply personal journey that began with hardship at a young age. After experiencing homelessness at just 12 years old, he learned to survive through resilience, determination, and grit. Those early challenges shaped his perspective and instilled in him a profound understanding of vulnerability and the need for protection. Today, as a devoted husband and father, Warren has transformed his past into purpose—committing his life to advocating for and protecting those who lack the safety and support he was once without. His mission is rooted in compassion, strength, and an unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

Foggy Mountain Top

Felicia Wasson, co-founder of Project Millstone, is a devoted mother and powerful advocate whose strength is rooted in her past. Having endured significant hardships, she has transformed her experiences into a driving force for change and compassion. While she is deeply committed to protecting her own children, Felicia is equally passionate about being a voice for those who no longer have one—especially families who have suffered unimaginable challenges. Her resilience, empathy, and unwavering determination shape her mission to stand up, speak out, and help protect the vulnerable.

Pink Orchid Blossoms

Jeanne Buza is a devoted wife and mother whose strength has been forged through some of life’s most difficult moments. Facing a past that once pushed her to the brink, she found a way forward through unwavering determination and inner resilience. Those experiences now fuel her deep commitment to protecting children and standing against the dangers they face in today’s world. She is driven by a powerful sense of purpose—refusing to stand by while harm comes to others—and uses her voice and perseverance to advocate for safety, awareness, and change.
